School books VS real experiences

ย Each child is different and unique, each child has different needs and interests, different level of skills, different experiences and different life circumstances. What works for one might not work for another. What works for one today, might not work tomorrow.

๐Ÿ’ก What if I told you that you need to read a book about thermodynamics (pretend you don't know what that is, just like me!) And, just because you have absolutely zero interest in it and you don't understand it (because your brain just doesn't care, because you don't even find it useful, it's just a waste of time) I tell you that unfortunately you need to stay in the classroom an extra year to catch up.

โžก๏ธNow llet'spretend you start thinking that you're "stupid" and get frustrated because everyone else seems to get it but you. ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐ž๐œ๐ข๐๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ฎ๐ฉ. You might start messing, feel useless and maybe even take the wrong path in life.

๐Ÿ”Now let's go back to the book. Instead of "making you read that boring book", I'll bring a newspaper to the classroom. We'll read the latest news: someone has created SQUARE SHAPED DROPLETS! what!? Is that even possible? You get curious and decide to investigate more.

๐Ÿ’ง You mix water with oil, add soap, blow with a straw, create hypothesis, play with the light, you're discovering so many exciting things! You decide to find a book that explains more about this. The title of that book is: THERMODYNAMICS.

๐Ÿฅผ Years later, ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐›๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž ๐š ๐ฌ๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ

โŒ›It's not about the results, it's about the individual process.
